Google has unveiled its Year in Search findings, spotlighting the most sought-after cocktails in 2024 so far. This roster of libations represents drinks that experienced a significant surge in online searches in the United States throughout the year, compared to the preceding year. The compilation is the top 10!
Aperol Spritz
The Aperol Spritz has topped the list as the favorite,! Twenty-one states and the District of Columbia are mad about this Italian favorite! Here are the states who love it: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington. There was a tie in New York between the Aperol Spritz and the Margarita. Ohio also sees a tie between the Aperol Spritz and the Old Fashioned.

Margarita
Coming close to the Aperol Spritz is the margarita. Seventeen states adore the tequila favorite: Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Maryland, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. Wisconsin is on the fence loving the Old fashioned and the Mimosa too!

Old Fashioned
This classic is loved by nine states, including Alaska, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, plus don’t forget Ohio. It would be sad if Kentucky didn’t love the Old Fashioned as most bourbon in the country is made there!

Moscow Mule
Ginger beer is not all the readily available so it’s funny to see the Moscow Mule popping up on the list. It appears they like it out west in Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, and Utah, plus Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Alaska! A little zest to get the chill out!

The Mimosa showed up in three states: Nevada, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, but they share with other cocktails. Nevada loves the Old Fashioned and Aperol Spritz. Wisconsin just can’t choose between a Margarita, the Moscow Mule, the Old Fashioned and the Mimosa. South Carolina loves a Magarita and a Mimosa!
