A Bit of Cyprus: The Beaches

These are in no particular order, but I do have a soft spot for Latchi.

I have been with the Cypriot for six years now and had never been to Cyprus for vacation.  It sounds as absurd as it is.  We go there for weddings, christenings, bar mitzvahs, every family event but never for just relaxing.  We have been a few nights here and there, but last summer we finally made it to Aphrodite’s birth place with one goal in mind: to see the sea.  As summer approaches and plans are made, Cyprus is definitely a destination to be reckoned with!

A Bit of Cyprus: Nicosia

 

Cyprus is getting tons of press but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.  Not for its sunny climes, gorgeous beaches, friendly folk or delicious food…which it should…but for the unwanted “haircuts”  that are being forced on its hardworking citizens.  If you are a regular to Cyprus (which I am becoming since dating one Greek-Cypriot lad), you can already see the changes that are occurring to its capital city. There really is no guide book that can keep up to date with the day to day changes.
